Refund Policy

1. Overview
All payments for Recrulyze are processed by Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. This means Paddle handles billing, tax calculation, and refunds in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and Paddle's Invoiced Consumer Terms.
This policy outlines your refund rights and how to request a refund. In the event of any conflict, Paddle's terms and mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence will prevail.
2. Your Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel your purchase and request a full refund within 14 days of the purchase date without giving any reason, in line with applicable consumer protection laws.
To meet the cancellation deadline, you simply need to send your refund request before the 14-day period expires. This right is subject to the digital content exception described below and any mandatory rights you have under local law.
After this 14-day period has expired, or where your statutory right to cancel has been lost under the digital content exception described below, you are no longer entitled to a refund as of right. Any refund granted after that point will be treated as a discretionary goodwill refund handled by Paddle in line with their policies and applicable law.
3. Digital Content Exception
Credits purchased on Recrulyze are digital content that is made available immediately upon purchase. During checkout via Paddle, you may be asked to confirm that you want the digital content delivered immediately and acknowledge that by doing so you may lose your statutory right to cancel once delivery has begun.
In accordance with applicable consumer protection laws, by using any credits from your purchase (for example, by running CV screenings with those credits), you acknowledge that you have begun consuming the digital content and your statutory right to cancel may no longer apply.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to privacy@recrulyze.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your account email address
- Include the date of purchase
- Briefly explain the reason for your refund request (optional but helpful)
- You may also raise your refund request directly with Paddle, using the link provided in your Paddle receipt or their buyer support pages.
5. Processing Time
Once we receive your refund request:
- Acknowledgement: We will review your request and, where applicable, submit it to Paddle within 2 business days.
- Processing by Paddle: If your refund is approved under applicable law or Paddle's terms (for example, where your statutory right to cancel applies), Paddle will issue the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you inform us or Paddle of your decision to cancel.
- Credit to your account: Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 5–10 business days for the refunded amount to appear on your statement.
6. Eligibility and Paddle's Discretion
As Paddle is the Merchant of Record, all refund decisions are ultimately made by Paddle in accordance with their terms and applicable law. While we will support and facilitate your request, we cannot override Paddle's decision.
Outside the 14-day cancellation period described above, or where your statutory right to cancel no longer applies (for example, due to the digital content exception), refunds are not guaranteed and may be granted or refused at Paddle's reasonable discretion.
Refunds may be refused at Paddle's reasonable discretion, for example where:
- You no longer have a statutory right to cancel (for instance, due to the digital content exception described above)
- There is suspected fraud, abuse, or misuse of the service or payment method
- There are repeated or excessive refund requests inconsistent with normal use
7. Refund Method
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase wherever technically possible. All refunds are processed through Paddle, our payment processor.
8. Disputes and Consumer Rights
As Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all purchases, they handle refunds in accordance with statutory consumer rights and their own terms. If you have any concerns about a refund decision, you may:
- Contact us at privacy@recrulyze.com with additional information
- Contact Paddle directly through their buyer support (for example, via the links in your receipt or at paddle.net)
You will benefit from any mandatory provisions of consumer protection law in your country of residence. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
9. Promotional Credits
Free credits provided upon account creation or through promotions have no cash value and are not eligible for refund.
